Tabled Discussion

When the contract signing for this Sunday's Undisputed Title Match ignited a heated altercation between WWE Title holders CM Punk and John Cena, the bout's special guest referee, WWE COO Triple H, reminded both Superstars who's boss.

Raw results: Hostile negotiations

Tags: Raw: August 8, 2011
SAN JOSE — With only six days to go before WWE Champion John Cena faces WWE Champion CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, Triple H made it clear that there will be only one titleholder at the end of the night. The lengths WWE’s new COO went to tonight in order to guarantee a fair outcome shocked the entire WWE Universe.
WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk signed the contract for their Undisputed WWE Title Match
The WWE Universe expected a tense confrontation in this contract signing and that’s exactly what they got. Mediated by Triple H and WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis, the summit started off ugly when CM Punk showed a video of The Rock bashing John Cena on Facebook. Tearing The Champ’s catchphrases and clothing to shreds, The Great One made a hilarious mockery of the powerful Superstar.
It was a damning monologue, but one Cena took in stride. After all, The Champ realized some people may have a problem with him, but he’s always been more concerned with the fans that are in his corner. Since 2002, the WWE Champion has been a proud and hardworking Superstar who gives every bit of his energy to positively representing the company. And while Cena was busting his hump, Punk was off complaining that he didn’t get fair treatment.
It was a strong argument that Triple H respected, but The Second City Saint was quick to strike back. Accusing The Champ of being a failed bodybuilder who settled for a career as a sports-entertainer, Punk claimed that he worked harder to get to where he is than Cena ever could. On Sunday, The Straight Edge Superstar would prove this by beating his rival in the center of the ring.
Undeterred, Cena made it clear that if Punk fails on Sunday he’ll be nothing more than a one hit wonder. With tensions now at a boil, both Superstars agreed that the talking had gone on long enough and stood face-to-face. But when Punk took a swing at The Champ, he connected with Mr. Laurinaitis instead. It was a melee from there with Punk and Cena brawling in the ring while the COO attempted to pull them apart.
When The Game finally got some order, the tattooed titleholder stood on the outside of the ring looking in at Triple H and The Champ. In that unique moment, there were two WWE Champions. Come Sunday, there will be only one.
R-Truth drives John Morrison's head into the mat.
R-Truth def. John Morrison
After spending more than three months on the sidelines with a serious neck injury, John Morrison finally had the opportunity to go one-on-one with the man who put him there — R-Truth.
Looking to get a receipt on the dangerous Superstar, The Guru of Greatness came at Truth with a flurry of unpredictable offense — even leaping out of the ring onto his opponent. It was a thrilling effort from Morrison, but JoMo is clearly still trying to find his feet following his injury. By targeting the neck, Truth was able to debilitate his adversary and win the bout.
Alex Riley def. United States Champion Dolph Ziggler by Disqualification
Some guys just don’t know how to take criticism. Furious with Alex Riley’s suggestion that he drop Vickie Guerrero and succeed on his own merit, Dolph Ziggler was ready to make A-Ry regret his remarks tonight. Bringing the fight to Riley, the brash Superstar seemed destined for victory, but Vickie interfered in the action before either man could triumph.
The loudmouth’s intrusion led to the official giving Riley the win via disqualification. Clearly irritated with the loss, Ziggler bickered with his associate after the bout before the cougar stormed away from the ring in a rage.
Beth Phoenix def. Eve
Last Monday night, Beth Phoenix shocked the WWE Universe when she brutalized Divas Champion Kelly Kelly after winning a battle royal to become the No. 1 contender to the beauty’s title. Tonight, she made it clear that the attack was no accident.
After smashing the talented Eve, The Glamazon grabbed the microphone and again stated that the era of pretty Divas dominating WWE is over. Yet, just as Beth made her way to the locker room, she was cracked out of nowhere by a fiery Kelly Kelly.
Not one to be intimidated, the gorgeous competitor is definitely ready for Sunday’s showdown with the powerful Glamazon.
CM Punk springs into action against Alberto Del Rio.
WWE Champion CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio
Irate, but unsurprised by Triple H’s announcement earlier in the evening, CM Punk stated that the COO would be wise to stay out of his way at SummerSlam. But, for now, The Straight Edge Superstar was focused on an immediate challenge — Alberto Del Rio.
Following Cena’s victory over Swagger, Punk knew he had to come up big in his match against The Mexican Aristocrat. After all, how would it look if the controversial competitor was beaten mere days before the biggest bout of his career? Rising to the occasion, Punk was vicious against the Money in the Bank winner, picking Del Rio apart with blistering strikes before putting him to bed with the Go To Sleep. If Cena sent Punk a message before, “the voice of the voiceless” responded here.
The Miz def. Kofi Kingston
What was supposed to be a rematch between Rey Mysterio and The Miz quickly spiraled out of control when The Awesome One brutally attacked his rival before Mysterio even had a chance to enter the ring.  It was an audacious assault, but The Miz didn’t have much time to gloat as Triple H immediately sent word that the smug Superstar would now face Kofi Kingston.
Before The Cleveland Screamer could protest, The Dreadlocked Dynamo launched himself at his opponent, battering The Miz with his patented controlled frenzy. The rapid attack was nearly too much for the former WWE Champion to handle, but the devious Superstar survived, nailing the Skull-Crushing Finale out of nowhere for the win.
John Cena delivers an Attitude Adjustment to Jack Swagger.
WWE Champion John Cena def. Jack Swagger
John Cena isn’t the type of competitor who cracks under pressure. Moments after trading strong words with the special guest referee in his Undisputed WWE Championship Match against CM Punk at SummerSlam, The Champ had to lock up with the always dangerous Jack Swagger.
A standout collegiate wrestler and former World Heavyweight Champion, “The All-American American” is not a Superstar to be taken lightly, but Cena didn’t let his opponent’s pedigree intimidate him. Battering the big man before putting him down with an Attitude Adjustment, the West Newbury, Mass.-native sent a clear message to both Punk and Triple H — The Champ is here.
Triple H announced a special guest referee for the SummerSlam main event
With only six days to go before one of the most important nights in WWE history, Triple H dropped another bomb on the WWE Universe — the Undisputed WWE Championship Match between WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Champion CM Punk will have a special guest referee.
Believing that a bout of this magnitude is too important to risk outside interference or underhanded maneuvers, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer revealed that he’s enlisted the help of the one man he knows who can get the job done right — himself.
As if that wasn’t enough to stir up the WWE Universe, Triple H then announced that Cena and Punk will sign their SummerSlam contract tonight.

Raw results: Executive decision

Tags: Raw: August 1, 2011, CM Punk, John Cena
INDIANAPOLIS — In his first days as WWE’s Chief Operating Officer, Triple H was faced with one of the most complex problems in the company’s storied history — who is the real WWE Champion? Is it CM Punk — the Superstar who beat John Cena for the title at WWE Money in the Bank before leaving the company, only to return a week later with the championship in hand? Or is it Cena — the man who defeated Rey Mysterio for the WWE Title on the same night the masked Superstar won a tournament for the supposedly vacant championship? After considering both cases for some time, The Game finally hit upon a vital fact — the most important choices aren’t made in a boardroom, they’re decided in the ring.
Triple H resolved the WWE Championship situation
For the first time in WWE history, there are two legitimate WWE Champions, but which man is the real title holder? That was the question Triple H tangled with tonight as John Cena and CM Punk pressed the COO for a decision.
It was a tough judgment for The Game, but before he could reveal his solution, he was interrupted by WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. A longtime associate of Mr. McMahon, the executive made his feelings on the matter clear — strip John Cena of the title.
Unsurprisingly, Mr. Laurinaitis’ words brought an irate John Cena forth. Verbally berating the executive, The Champ claimed Laurinaitis wanted him stripped of the title, because Cena laid him out at WWE Money in the Bank. Cena then threatened to harm Mr. Laurinaitis again, leading the VP to leave the ring as fast as his feet could carry him.
Now alone with Cena, Triple H informed The Champ that he would not strip him of the WWE Championship. Hearing that, CM Punk immediately hit the ring, prepared to state his case to the COO.
As the two champions began to argue, The Game laid it out like this — at SummerSlam, John Cena and CM Punk will meet in the first ever WWE Champion vs. WWE Champion Match. The Superstar that walks away victorious will be the Undisputed WWE Champion. End of story.
Alberto Del Rio brutalizes Evan Bourne on Raw.
Alberto Del Rio def. Evan Bourne
He has enormous wealth, fancy cars and the Money in the Bank briefcase, but Alberto Del Rio still operates like a man with something to prove. Why else would The Mexican Aristocrat apply a bone snapping armbar to Evan Bourne long after he defeated the high-flyer in the ring? Looking to send a message to the locker room, the arrogant Superstar nearly broke Bourne’s arm until Kofi Kingston stormed the ring and chased Del Rio — and his lackey Ricardo Rodriguez — out of the arena.
WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty def. Santino Marella & Zack Ryder
A week after internet sensation Zack Ryder was handpicked by Triple H to put Michael Cole in his place on Raw, Long Island Iced-Z took a few lumps of his own. Rallying against David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty early in the bout, Ryder eventually lost the contest for his team, bringing an abrupt end to his winning streak. Woe. Woe. Woe. You know it.
Alex Riley confronted United States Champion Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero
Tonight, Alex Riley gave Dolph Ziggler some invaluable career advice whether the bleached blond wanted it or not. In the middle of another one of Vickie Guerrero’s annoying rants about the presumed greatness of the United States Champion, A-Ry thankfully interrupted and announced that Ziggler had spent too much time hiding behind the loudmouthed lady and needed to prove himself on his own.
Infuriated, Ziggler nearly attacked Riley, but slid out of the ring instead and stormed away with Vickie by his side.
The Miz & R-Truth def. Rey Mysterio & John Morrison
After spending three months on the sidelines due to a brutal attack from R-Truth, John Morrison was finally able to face his rival in the ring tonight, but he didn’t come alone. Teaming with Rey Mysterio — the Superstar who beat The Miz for the vacant WWE Title before losing it to John Cena last Monday night — JoMo showed little sign of ring rust, but he still wasn’t ready for his underhanded opponents. Losing to Truth, Morrison then fell victim to both The Awesome One’s Skull Crushing Finale and a water bottle to the side of the head from the conspiracy-obsessed Superstar

Things between Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix get personal on Raw.
Beth Phoenix won a No. 1 Contender’s Diva Battle Royal
She’s long been touted as WWE’s most powerful Diva, so the WWE Universe was not surprised when Beth Phoenix triumphed over the ladies of Raw and SmackDown to earn a Divas Title Match against Kelly Kelly at SummerSlam. It’s what happened next that shocked everyone.
Entering the ring to congratulate the winner, the Divas Champion gave Beth a big hug in a refreshing moment of good sportsmanship. In return, The Glamazon unexpectedly attacked the beautiful competitor, brutally tossing her out of the ring before shouting, “Your days as the perky, cute, little bimbo are over!”
Clearly, things between these two Divas just got personal.
Triple H and a re-signed CM Punk exchanged heated words
Following last week’s scandalous return to WWE, the always contentious CM Punk kicked off tonight’s Raw by inciting more controversy. Stating that he re-signed with WWE because he wanted to bring about change, The Straight Edge Superstar proclaimed himself the one and only WWE Champion, which drew out WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H. Taking issue with the arrogant Superstar’s words, The Game said he re-signed Punk because it was good for business even though he personally found him smug and overrated. As tensions mounted between the two, Triple H made it clear that both Punk and John Cena are legitimate champions to which the overconfident Punk shot back that there can only be one title holder. The Game did not debate this point and promised to rectify the situation tonight.

There Can Be
Only One

For the first time in history, two Superstars are recognized as WWE Champion: CM Punk and John Cena. By order of WWE COO Triple H, The Second City Savior and the Cenation leader will clash at SummerSlam to crown the title's rightful bearer .

John Cena vs. CM Punk – Undisputed WWE Championship Match

Tags: SummerSlam 2011
Having each earned the right to call themselves the WWE Champion, John Cena and a returning CM Punk will collide at SummerSlam in Los Angeles. There, these dynamic Superstars will determine who deserves the right to become the undisputed bearer of the WWE Title at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
For the first time since the title’s inception in 1963, two ring warriors are in possession of the WWE Championship, thanks to Punk’s shocking re-emergence on the July 25 edition of Monday Night Raw. Just moments after Cena had bested newly crowned WWE Champion Rey Mysterio that night to win the title for a ninth time (his eleventh World Title overall), a smirking Punk confidently strode down the entrance ramp to offer his own unique form of congratulations to The Champ – by confronting Cena and holding his own WWE Championship high above his head.
Aiming to provide some semblance of order to this complicated WWE Championship scenario, WWE’s Chief Operating Officer, Triple H, mandated the following week that both titleholders clash at SummerSlam, with the victor going down in the history books as the one, true WWE Champion.
At WWE Money in the Bank – held in his hometown on what was believed to be his final night as a WWE Superstar – Punk accomplished what many believed to be an impossible feat. Despite Mr. McMahon’s best efforts to ensure that The Second City Savior would not leave WWE with its most cherished prize fastened around his waist, Punk ultimately finished off The Cenation Commander-in-Chief with a Go to Sleep to ensnare the coveted title before vanishing from WWE forever … or so we thought.
With Punk’s controversial victory and subsequent departure seeming to vacate the WWE Title, The Chairman scheduled a tournament to establish a new champion. Although the tournament was successful in naming a new WWE Champion in Rey Mysterio the following week, it would come to be known as Mr. McMahon’s final executive decision. Citing a vote of no confidence from WWE’s Board of Directors, Triple H relieved his father-in-law of his duties, revealing himself as the new COO of WWE.
In his first-ever “State of the WWE” address, The Game announced the beginning of a new era under his regime. Chief among The King of Kings’ decrees was a WWE Championship Match pitting Cena against The Ultimate Underdog on the same night Mysterio won the title for the very first time. Ever the fighting champion, The Master of the 619 was more than willing to put it all on the line against Cena, whose hustle, loyalty and respect prevailed that fateful night in Hampton, Va. For the second time in as many hours, a new WWE Champion’s hand was raised high in victory.
However, The Champ had little time to savor his incredible WWE Title win, as his victory celebration was crashed by the returning Straight Edge Superstar, who made it abundantly clear to the WWE Universe that “the best in the world” was back to question the legitimacy of Cena’s reign. However, thanks to The Cerebral Assassin, such questions will indeed be answered at SummerSlam.
Will CM Punk solidify himself as the undisputed WWE Champion? Or will John Cena make The Second City Savior regret stepping back into a WWE ring? To find out, tune in to SummerSlam, August 14, live on pay-per-view.

Hitting the
Tables
Placed in a Tables Match by the Raw Roulette wheel, WWE Champion John Cena went all in against rival R-Truth until CM Punk's intervention put The Champ through the pine, allowing Truth to leave Las Vegas with his chips stacked

Raw results: What happens in Vegas ...

Tags: Raw: June 27, 2011
LAS VEGAS – The WWE Universe went for a spin in the city of sin for Raw Roulette, the one night of the year when matches, competitors and stipulations are determined by the whirling of the wheel.
R-Truth def. WWE Champion John Cena in a Raw Roulette Non-title Tables Match Millions of visitors “hit the tables” each year when they journey to Las Vegas, but typically not like this. In the final Raw Roulette bout of the evening, R-Truth faced WWE Champion John Cena in an emotionally charged Tables Match. All too eager to silence “Little Jimmys” around the globe by sending their hero crashing through the hardwood, Truth brought the fight to The Champ early on, but it was ultimately CM Punk who would decide the match’s outcome when he saved Truth from an Attitude Adjustment through the pine. Then, while Cena was distracted by The Second City Savior, Truth drove The Champ through a table propped up in the corner of the ring.
Rey Mysterio frog splash
Rey Mysterio & Alex Riley def. The Miz & Jack Swagger in a Raw Roulette Tornado Match The Miz and Jack Swagger aren’t exactly known for adhering to rules and regulations, so a tagless Tornado Match is probably the best way these two sinister Superstars could ever join forces. However, as the ring nearly buckled under the combined weight of their massive egos, The Awesome One & The All-American American suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Rey Mysterio & The Miz’s former apprentice, Alex Riley.
As revealed earlier in the night, all four of these ring warriors will meet in this year’s Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which will guarantee the winner a WWE Title opportunity at the time and place of their choosing. Although The Miz & Swagger each hold Money in the Bank victories – achievements that they both parlayed into World Title reigns – their odds of repeating that success seem a lot less likely with A-Ry and The Master of the 619 involved. Thanks in no small part to some amazing offense by Riley, Mysterio scored a pinfall after hitting Swagger with a frog splash.
Divas Champion Kelly Kelly def. Nikki Bella in a Raw Roulette Submission Match

SmackDown commentator Booker T had his fingers crossed in the hopes that Divas Champion Kelly Kelly would face Brie Bella in a Pillow Fight, but the Raw Roulette wheel instead mandated that the Divas would compete in a Submission Match. Even though no actual pillows were present, feathers did indeed fly between these battling beauties.
Coming off her momentous Divas Title victory one week earlier on Raw, the newly minted champion held nothing back against the feisty former titleholder, giving the WWE Universe an idea of what to expect when the rivals collide once again in a Divas Title rematch at WWE Money in the Bank. After putting Brie away with a Boston crab, Kelly Kelly found herself on the receiving end of a Bella beatdown when Nikki entered the fray. Thankfully, there was an angel in Sin City in the form of Eve, who assisted her friend in turning back the twins.
Mark Henry sends Big Show through the steel cage wall
Alberto Del Rio def. Big Show in a Raw Roulette Steel Cage Match; Mark Henry ravaged cage Not even a steel cage door could keep an enraged Mark Henry from preying on Big Show during the giant’s confined clash with Alberto Del Rio. Just three days after assaulting Show in the locker room area on SmackDown, The World’s Strongest Man struck again, this time tearing the door off the steel cage and brutally mauling his massive adversary.
Always knowing a good opportunity when he sees it, the sly Mexican Aristocrat escaped the cage through the open doorway as Henry continued to batter Show. In a terrifying display of ferocity, Henry then nailed the giant with the steel door, sending him crashing through the cage wall itself.
Kofi Kingston def. U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler in a Raw Roulette Non-title Player’s Choice Match Vickie Guerrero’s earned no shortage of nicknames during her WWE career, but “Lady Luck” certainly isn’t one of them. As Kofi Kingston prepared to spin the wheel to determine the stipulation for his non-title bout with Vickie’s business associate, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, the shrieking she-devil intervened and demanded to take the wheel herself. Unfortunately for Vickie – but fortunately for The Dreadlocked Dynamo – the Raw Roulette wheel landed on the “Player’s Choice Match” option, which Kingston used to bar her from ringside.
Attaining a measure of retribution after Ziggler stole a victory and a title defense in their 2-out-of-3 Falls Match one week earlier on Raw: Power to the People, Kingston proved to his longtime rival that there are few Superstars that can withstand his controlled frenzy, putting away the blond blowhard with Trouble in Paradise from out of nowhere.
Following this key victory, Kingston aims to keep this momentum going as he prepares for the Raw Money in the Bank Ladder Match in three weeks, when he will clash with Evan Bourne, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, Alex Riley, Jack Swagger, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio.)
Sin Cara vs. Evan Bourne
Sin Cara def. Evan Bourne in a Raw Roulette No Count-out Match Ask and you shall receive. After a tabulation mishap prevented the WWE Universe from witnessing international sensation Sin Cara battle Evan Bourne on Raw: Power to the People, WWE ensured that the high-flyers would collide just one week later in Las Vegas. In a No Count-out Match decided by the Raw Roulette wheel, the aerialists delivered thrills that were more than worth the seven-day wait.
In the end, the masked marvel overcame the speed and agility of “Air” Bourne, securing a pinfall victory with a stunning aerial maneuver, leaving Las Vegas with his remarkable WWE undefeated streak intact.
Kane def. CM Punk in a Raw Roulette Mystery Opponent Match by Count-out

Whenever The Big Red Machine hits the ring, betting on red seems like a no-brainer. Knowing that his days in WWE are numbered, and that any injury could stack the odds against him in his WWE Title encounter with John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank, CM Punk escaped Kane’s fiery onslaught by exiting the ring and intentionally getting himself counted out.
CM Punk and HBK
CM Punk interrupted Shawn Michaels

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels spent his entire in-ring career in the hunt – whether it be for thrills, competition or championship glory. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that the retired HBK is spending a great deal of his spare time proving his mettle against some of the most cunning game imaginable in the great outdoors, a pastime Michaels was eager to share with the WWE Universe as he kicked off a special Raw Roulette edition of Monday night’s hottest show.
As Michaels announced the premiere of his new hunting and lifestyle program called Shawn Michaels’ MacMillan River Adventures, debuting the following night on the Outdoor Channel, a brash CM Punk disrespectfully interrupted and threatened the returning Showstopper, reminding him and the entire WWE Universe that once his contract expires at WWE Money in the Bank on July 17, that will be the last time we’ll see The Second City Savior – and the WWE Championship.
After HBK dispatched WWE Tag Team Champion David Otunga with some Sweet Chin Music, Raw’s anonymous General Manager chimed in to tell Punk that since The Straight Edge Superstar has only three Mondays left in WWE, they’re going to count. With a spin of the wheel, the New Nexus overlord found himself facing a mystery opponent: Kane! If that wasn’t enough, Michaels tuned up the band again for Otunga’s tag team partner Michael McGillicutty, ensuring that, given Mason Ryan’s absence due to injury, Punk would face The Devil’s Favorite Demon without his armbanded lackeys.

----------------------------------------------------

What Happened
in Vegas

Returning to WWE, The Showstopper and CM Punk compared notes on knowing when to fold until the threat of the encroaching New Nexus forced the WWE Hall of Famer to tune up the band – twice – in Sin City.

Who's No. 1?
With the suspension of CM Punk, WWE Champion John Cena's Money in the Bank opponent will be determined on a Fourth of July edition of Monday Night Raw. Who will prevail in a No. 1 Contender's Triple Threat Match between Del Rio, Mysterio and R-Truth?

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon suspends CM Punk

Tags: Raw: June 27, 2011, CM Punk
Raw’s abrupt conclusion Monday night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:
“CM Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”
With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.
UPDATE: As of Tuesday, June 28, WWE and CM Punk have reached an agreement that Punk will fulfill his non-televised live event obligations for the remainder of his contract, through July 17. Furthermore, both sides have mutually agreed not to disparage one another.

Stepping Her
Game Up
The beautiful Kelly Kelly will defend her newly won Divas Championship for the first time against the sinister Brie Bella at WWE Money in the Bank. Can Kelly overcome the two-pronged attack of Brie and her twisted sister Nikki?

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella

Tags: Money in the Bank 2011, Kelly Kelly, Brie Bella
Just as the Wicked Witch of the West did everything in her power to get the coveted ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz, the sinister Brie Bella and her twisted sister Nikki will do whatever they can to take the Divas Title back from the beautiful Kelly Kelly when Brie and the gorgeous champion face off at WWE Money in the Bank.
It was on Raw: Power to the People that the WWE Universe let their voices be heard when they selected Kelly Kelly to take on Brie Bella for the Divas Championship. Inspired by the faith the WWE fans showed in her, the blonde bombshell beat the vicious Diva that night to win the very first title of her career.
Unsurprisingly, this loss did not sit well with either of the evil twins. Using a devious bit of trickery they dubbed “Twin Magic,” the identical sisters beat many of the WWE’s top Divas by switching places behind the backs of officials. The maneuver proved so effective that the siblings were able to use it to rob Eve of her Divas Championship on the April 11th edition of Raw.
With the title in Brie’s possession, the sisters became more ego mad than ever and toted around the championship like an expensive piece of jewelry. That was until the stunning Kelly Kelly appeared to burst their bubble.
The former model proved many of her detractors wrong with her huge victory on Raw. Still, it’s one thing to get to the top of the Divas division. It’s another thing to stay there. And with Brie enacting her rematch clause on July 17, Kelly will have to prove herself very shortly.
Will the Divas Champion be able to handle the pressure of her first big title defense? Or will the two-pronged attack of the Bella Twins be too much for her to handle? Find out when Kelly Kelly defends the Divas Title against Brie Bella at WWE Money in the Bank on July 17.

BALTIMORE – Let freedom ring! One night after WWE swept into Washington D.C. for Capitol Punishment, democracy continued to bloom as the WWE Universe exercised their right to vote thanks to a special, three-hour Raw: Power to the People.
Unfortunately, uncontrollable difficulties created by an influx of heavy voting traffic resulted in not every one of the more-than 697,000 recorded votes to be properly counted. To read more about these technical issues and how they affected the final tallies, .
WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley def. R-Truth, Christian & The Miz in an Elimination Tag Team Match While members of the WWE Universe were busy exercising their rights, R-Truth, Christian & The Miz were busy exercising their mouths. The three came up short at Capitol Punishment the night before and had complained to SmackDown GM Theodore Long, who finally arranged a match for them against WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley.
The only question that remained was under which stipulation would the six fight? The WWE Universe determined they would battle in an Elimination Match (79%), far surpassing the one fall to a finish (15%) and 20-minute time limit (6%) options.
When the bell rang, the tension reverberating between the six Superstars was clearly evident. Hot off his massive victory over Miz, A-Ry appeared pumped. He took the fight to Christian and his former boss like a veteran ring leader. Although the aggression was impressive, Riley found himself the first to be eliminated. Next up, Miz and R-Truth would fall in close succession, leaving Christian to tackle both Cena & Orton.
Captain Charisma grew so excited at having eliminated the World Heavyweight Champion that he appeared not to remember The Champ remained in the bout. As Christian occupied himself with Cena, The Viper slithered in and nailed him with a surprise RKO. The move allowed the WWE Champion to snap on the STF, forcing Christian to tap out and handing Cena’s squad the victory.
Shawn Michaels and Raw Roulette to return to Raw next week
Vegas, baby, Vegas! All the action takes place in Sin City, Las Vegas, next Monday night when Shawn Michaels returns to Raw. The WWE Hall of Famer will be on hand during one of WWE’s most exciting nights, Raw Roulette.
Michael Cole def. Vickie Guerrero in a Dance Competition
All hail the Cole-aroonie! Michael Cole busted out a few “unique” dance moves to slay Vickie Guerrero in a Dance Competition. The WWE Universe took matters into their collective hands and voted for the Raw announcer to compete against the shrieking violet. Cole collected 47% of the vote while Jerry Lawler grabbed 39% and Booker T cleared 14%.
Daniel Bryan def. Cody Rhodes in a No Count-out Match
All the paper bags in the world can’t mask the ugliness of Cody Rhodes’ behavior lately. The narcissistic Superstar was scheduled to face off against Daniel Bryan in a match with the stipulation to be determined by the WWE Universe. With a total of 51%, a No Count-out Match triumphed over a Paper Bag Match at 43% and a Collegiate Rules Match at 6%.
CM Punk reveals the expiration of his WWE contractAt the end of the bout, Bryan emerged victorious over his self-fawning foe. Rhodes, however, tried to save face. With help from his cohort, Ted DiBiase, the masked man leveled the submission specialist with a Cross Rhodes before slipping a paper bag over his head.
CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Falls Count Anywhere Match
CM Punk doesn’t play small ball. He proved it once again when he defeated both Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship. Per the WWE Universe, the three Superstars competed in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, which garnered 66% of the vote as opposed to 23% for a No Disqualifications Match and 11% for a Submission Match.
As if his victory weren’t enough of a laurel to rest upon, The Second City Savior went on to explain that his WWE contract expires the day of Money in the Bank, taking place in his hometown of Chicago. Punk then informed the WWE Universe that he not only intends to win the WWE Championship from John Cena, he intends to take the title with him when he exits WWE.
Dolph Ziggler and Kofi KingstonKofi Kingston def. U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match by Disqualification
Research and destroy. Those three words best sum up Dolph Ziggler’s approach to Kofi Kingston. For weeks, the bombastic blond scouted Kofi, studying his moves and pinpointing his vulnerabilities. It all paid off at Capitol Punishment when Ziggler defeated The Dreadlock Dynamo to become U.S. Champion. At Raw: Power to the People, the freshly-minted champion faultered, however, after the WWE Universe chose 2-out-of-3 falls as the stipulation with 51% over Vickie Guerrero Banned From Ringside (31%) and Submission (18%).
With the Superstars tied up at one fall apiece, Ziggler punched Kofi in the head with a microphone causing him to be disqualified and allowing him to retain the title since a title cannot change hands on a disqualification.
SmackDown GM Theodore Long arranged main event match
There are losers and there are sore losers. And then there are R-Truth, Christian and The Miz. After coming up empty last night, the three complained to SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long until he agreed to arrange a Six-Man Tag Team Match main event pitting WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton & Alex Riley against Truth, Christian & Miz.
Mark Henry and KaneKane def. Mark Henry in an Arm Wrestling Contest by Disqualification After his scary-strong body slam of Big Show at Capitol Punishment the night before – that poor announce table didn’t stand a chance – Mark Henry reupped for more devastation, this time against Show’s former tag team partner, Kane. As designated by the WWE Universe, the two titans clashed in an Arm Wrestling Contest (52%). The contest, which was chosen rather than an Over the Top Rope Match (35%) or a Body Slam Match (13%), showcased some menacing muscle.
In the end, The Big Red Monster would prevail by disqualification when Henry reached across the table and clocked his opponent. Henry then craved a sequel to his earlier slaughter. As he had done the night before with The World’s Largest Athlete, he hoisted up his adversary and hurled him mercilessly through the announce table with The World’s Strongest Slam.
Mason Ryan def. Evan Bourne (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Evan Bourne was forced to compete in a flight vs. might duel when Mason Ryan captured the majority of votes (51%), topping both Sin Cara (30%) and Jack Swagger (19%). Despite some high-altitude heroics on the part of Bourne, the massive Welshman pummeled his much smaller opponent for the victory.
Kelly KellyKelly Kelly def. WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella The people have spoken – and so has Kelly Kelly, loud and clear. After being chosen to take on WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella, Kelly Kelly (53%), who beat out Beth Phoenix (36%) and Eve (11%), took full advantage. With Brie’s equally tricky twin, Nikki, looking on, Kelly relieved the former champion of the title and began her very first championship reign with the butterfly-emblazoned title.
Raw GM arranged Triple Threat Match to determine No. 1 contender for WWE Title Go ahead, Punk, keeping digging yourself deeper. The Second City Savior not only insulted the WWE Universe by flat-out telling them their choices during the night’s Raw: Power to the People would be horrible, he also insulted the anonymous Raw GM by insisting he get an opportunity to face WWE Champion John Cena for the title at Money in the Bank in Chicago next month. All this led the GM to force Punk to face both Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Title later tonight.

You Wanted It?
You Got It

Due to the technical problems that generated an inaccurate vote result during "Power to the People," WWE makes it up to you, the WWE Universe, and Sin Cara, who will face fellow high-flyer Evan Bourne this Monday night on Raw!

Sin Cara and the WWE Universe get their match

Tags: Raw: June 20, 2011, Sin Cara, Evan Bourne
In light of unfortunate technical problems that definitively generated an inaccurate voting result in Evan Bourne's match during Raw: Power to the People, WWE is making it up to you, the WWE Universe, and Sin Cara, the masked Superstar whom you voted to have compete against Bourne.
This Monday night on Raw, Sin Cara will get the opportunity he deserved, and the match you demanded, as he will face Evan Bourne in the ring in Las Vegas.
The decision to make this match stems from technical issues with the vote tabulating provider’s system, which became flooded with so many votes from the previous poll - choosing an opponent for the Divas Title Match - that the vote tabulation spilled into the next poll, which determined Bourne's opponent. It appeared that you had voted for Mason Ryan, who shared the same option entry (B) as Kelly Kelly from the previous poll, until it was later discovered that Sin Cara had actually received 90 percent of the total votes in WWE.com's Live Chat poll.
Never let it be said that WWE does not hear the WWE Universe. Therefore, to set the record straight, WWE will grant the match that you and Sin Cara hoped for. These two aerial specialists will meet in Sin City Monday night, in what will surely be a contest of speed and agility unlike any other you've witnessed.

Hail to
The Champ!

After weeks of abusing John Cena and the WWE Universe, R-Truth faced the consequences at Capitol Punishment - though it took a watershed moment from an unlikely source to help The Cenation Commander-in-Chief retain his WWE Championship.

WWE Champion John Cena def. R-Truth

Tags: Capitol Punishment 2011, John Cena, R-Truth
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Driven by bitterness and fury, the unhinged R-Truth vowed to silence the “Little Jimmys” of the WWE Universe by toppling their hero, John Cena, and leaving Capitol Punishment with the WWE Championship he had stolen from The Champ just six days earlier. However, after nearly ending Cena’s WWE Title reign in the District of Columbia, it was the delusional Superstar who got “got” in this volatile main event, which culminated with a “splash.”
Truth has intimidated members of Cenation over the past several weeks, but it was one of Cena’s loyal admirers at the Verizon Center who would show the former rapper “what’s up” during his first-ever one-on-one WWE Title opportunity. When Truth tried to steal a drink from a young fan at ringside, the stalwart Cenation member cooled off the hip-hop hothead by throwing the beverage in his face. Cena then capitalized, tossing the stunned Truth back in the ring for a much-deserved Attitude Adjustment.
John Cena with a young Cenation memberAfter losing a WWE Title opportunity to John Morrison on Raw back in April, Truth revealed a more sinister side to his personality, proclaiming that his past desire to entertain the WWE Universe kept him from attaining championship glory in WWE. Furthermore, in Truth’s warped version of reality, he has been the victim of an elaborate “conspiracy” that has kept him from unleashing his true potential.
Taking out his many frustrations on Morrison and Rey Mysterio, Truth went on to target yet another former friend in Cena, but he didn’t stop there. On multiple occasions, Truth has antagonized members of Cenation face-to-face, using Cena’s connection with his fans to get inside the WWE Champion’s head. In fact, it was one such vile encounter with a father and son that helped Truth earn a count-out victory over Cena on the May 30 edition of Raw. Following that heinous distraction – which catapulted Truth into a WWE Title bout with Cena at Capitol Punishment – the conspiracy theorist shockingly doused the elder Cena fan with a beverage. However, bound together by mutual hustle, loyalty and respect, neither the denizens of Cenation nor their leader were about to let this transgression go unpunished.
John Cena vs. R-TruthMultiple times during this emotionally charged confrontation, Truth nearly put away The Champ to capture his first WWE Title – a notable achievement given his recent “secession” from the WWE Universe. However, in spite of his rugged offense and conspiracy-fueled determination, Truth was no match for Cena’s perseverance and a little liquid retribution from Cenation.
As disturbed as he might be, Truth’s remarkable performance at Capitol Punishment proves he is a force to be reckoned with on Raw whether the “Little Jimmys” of the world like it or not.  Nevertheless, Cenation has plenty of reason to celebrate following Cena’s impressive WWE Title defense in Washington, D.C. Hail to The Champ!

Raw Recall for June 8, 2011

Alberto Del Rio

FOR SHAME: SHOW OF FARCE
Apparently, running over a guy with a car just doesn't cut it anymore. No, Alberto Del Rio needs more. As a result, The Mexican Aristocrat forced assistant Ricardo Rodriguez to dress like Big Show, the man whose leg he "accidentally" crushed. Del Rio then callously mocked and threatened his rehabbing rival.

The Champ
is 'Beer'

Though "Stone Cold's" reckless refereeing cost The Champ & Alex Riley their tag bout against The Miz & R-Truth, John Cena saluted Austin after learning that The Texas Rattlesnake will be in control of WWE All Star Night on the next Raw.

Raw results: Brew you!

Tags: Raw: June 6, 2011
RICHMOND, Va. - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will always be a bright, blazing Superstar in the WWE Universe. Not only did the WWE Hall of Famer kick off Raw by announcing the winner of WWE Tough Enough, he closed the show with a beer-soaked main event. Can he get a Hell Yeah?!
R-Truth & The Miz def. WWE Champion John Cena & Alex Riley by Disqualification
Even when “Stone Cold” Steve Austin isn’t a direct participant in a match, his impact is undeniable. Acting as special guest referee during a match pitting WWE Champion John Cena & Alex Riley against R-Truth & The Miz, The Texas Rattlesnake wasn’t about to take any guff. He finished off the arrogant Miz like a six pack with a “Stone Cold” Stunner. The Champ then followed up with an Attitude Adjustment on The Awesome One.  As a result, Cena & Riley were pronounced the winners … momentarily.
Raw’s anonymous General Manager intervened, however, and overturned the special guest referee’s decision. “Stone Cold” could hardly believe when Michael Cole read the decision. Just as it appeared The Texas Rattlesnake might open up a can of whoop ass, the Raw GM tried to appease him, appointing him Special Guest General Manager for next week’s special three-hour WWE All Star Night.
“Stone Cold” seemed pleased, but that still didn’t save the weasel. The WWE Hall of Famer dragged Cole into the ring and leveled him with a Stunner. The Champ then followed up with a second Attitude Adjustment of his own, prompting he and The Texas Rattlesnake to toast a few beers and also leaving Cole flopped onto the canvas like a sack of wet laundry.
Booker T def. Jack Swagger by Count-out
Is Jack Swagger tough enough? Not if you ask Booker T. The WWE Tough Enough trainer agreed to a match after The All-American American disrespected him in the locker room area. Booker demonstrated that he’s still got the chops to go. So much so, in fact, that Swagger begged off, leaving the ring and losing the match by intentional count-out. When he scampered up the ramp, his rival, Evan Bourne, leveled him with glee and coaxed him back in the ring, where he and Booker each nailed the towering Superstar with punishing moves. “Air” Bourne then joined Booker in the ring for dualing “Spinaroonies.” Can you dig it, Suucckkaaaa?!
Zak Ryder
U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston def. Zack Ryder
With Dolph Ziggler observing from ringside, U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston set his sights on downing a glass of Long Island Iced Z, Zack Ryder. While the self-proclaimed “Internet Champion” put up a respectable showing in his eagerly anticipated Raw outing, Kingston’s explosive athleticism proved too much to overcome.
Alberto Del Rio mocked Big Show
Alberto Del Rio had better hope Big Show is a slow healer. Weeks after The Mexican Aristocrat’s assistant, Ricardo Rodriguez, drove over the leg of The World’s Largest Athlete and put him on the shelf, Del Rio had the nerve to mock his towering rival. He had Rodriguez don a bald cap and singlet and hobble to the ring on crutches as he mocked him and even threatened the real Big Show.
Rey Mysterio def. CM Punk
Consider the score evened. After losing to CM Punk last week, Rey Mysterio requested a rematch. In a renewal of their deeply personal rivalry – that had seen Punk torment Rey’s family – The Master of the 619 wasn’t about to let The Second City Savior get two over on him. Instead, the high-flyer overcame his disappointment and refused to give up, earning an especially satisfying victory.
Booker T accepted a match against Jack Swagger
Jack Swagger's ego must getting the best of him. As Booker T talked with his fellow WWE Tough Enough trainer Trish Stratus, The All-American American confronted him and challenged him to a match later in the night. Booker could hardly believe his ears, but when he realized that yes, Swagger really did challenge him, he gladly accepted.

Santino Marella def. WWE Tag Team Champion Michael McGillicutty The Cobra continues to show its fangs. In a match against WWE Tag Team Champion Michael McGillicutty, Santino Marella wielded the unorthodox maneuver with typical lethality. As their respective tag team partners looked on, the Italian Stallion handled the Nexus member with increasing confidence for the win.

Winner of WWE Tough Enough announced; main event match arranged (WATCH:
Congratulations, Andy! After weeks of grueling competition on WWE’s reality series WWE Tough Enough, Andy was chosen the winner over Luke live on Raw with the show’s host, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin delivering the incredible news. However, having emerged prior to the announcement, Mr. McMahon voiced his opinion that the wrong man had earned the WWE contract. The Texas Rattlesnake let Mr. McMahon know that he didn’t appreciate being undermined before welcoming Andy to WWE with a congratulations … and a “Stone Cold” Stunner.
After the stunning announcement, a slew of Superstars emerged to air their various grievances. Tops on the list? The delusional and disturbed R-Truth, who offered a bizarre apology for his actions the week prior. The act of contrition, such as it was, guaranteed Truth a WWE Title Match at Capitol Punishment. After his apology, Truth went on to espouse his far-fetched conspiracy theory that WWE is trying to hold him back. He then "seceded" from the WWE Universe.
Not one to share the spotlight , The Miz interrupted to complain that were it not for his former lackey, Alex Riley, he would still be WWE Champion. Unfortunately for him, A-Ry popped up, too, disputing Miz’s dubious version of events. Amid the chaos, WWE Champion John Cena dropped by to set it all straight.
The Champ berated his longtime rival Miz, congratulated Riley on his newfound independence and confronted his unbalanced Capitol Punishment opponent, Truth. Before the powder keg of frictions could ignite, Mr. McMahon arranged a main event match: Cena & Riley vs. Truth & Miz with “Stone Cold” acting as special guest referee.

Alex Riley vs. The Miz

Tags: Capitol Punishment 2011, The Miz, Alex Riley
Take this job and shove it! Alex Riley suffered for months as the target of his boss’ ruthless remarks and cutting critiques. So, when The Miz finally terminated him with extreme prejudice, A-Ry was suddenly free to live out the revenge fantasy of employees the world over, unleashing a reservoir of frustration on his tormentor. Now, at Capitol Punishment, the once inseparable duo takes their rivalry into the ring.
The “bro-mance” began to fray in the wake of Extreme Rules. It was during that pay-per-view The Cleveland Screamer dropped his beloved WWE Championship to John Cena. The following night, he placed blame for his loss squarely on Riley’s shoulders, chastising him for not being at his side during the match. The situation further decayed when, during Miz’s “I Quit” Match at WWE Over the Limit, Riley attempted to use a recording of Cena saying “I quit” to help Miz prevail. When the rouse unraveled, the former WWE Champion once again pointed the finger of blame at his apologetic assistant before finally canning him on Raw.
The termination proved too much. A-Ry snapped and ferociously attacked his former chief with a cathartic thrashing. The following week, Riley not only refused to apologize for his actions, he reveled in his rebellion. And when Miz ambushed him during an interview, Riley turned the tables and pounded Miz once again.
Can the disgruntled former employee keep punching Miz’s clock? Or will The Awesome One finally give A-Ry the back pay he deserves? To catch all the action, watch Capitol Punishment live on pay-per-view on June 19 at 8/7 CT.

Raw results: Truth and justice

OMAHA, Nebraska – Many Americans enjoyed their three-day weekend barbecuing, relaxing and honoring the men and women of the U.S. military. Unfortunately for the WWE Universe, however, crazy never seems to take a holiday, and R-Truth’s been working overtime.
R-Truth def. WWE Champion John Cena by Count-out in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
R-Truth may be crazy, but he’s not stupid. After landing a non-title match against WWE Champion John Cena, the delusional Superstar made the best of it. During the bout, he slid out of the ring and traded blows with his opponent. After a good bit of cat-and-mouse, Truth made a beeline back into the ring. When he hopped over a security barricade, Cena tried to follow, but Truth leveled him with a forearm to the head. The demented Superstar then quickly slid back onto the canvas, and The Champ was counted out.
Truth then jumped back over the barricade and confronted a “little Jimmy” in the audience, who he had also picked on at the top of the broadcast. He snatched the youngster's drink cup and splashed his father with it.
The Champ quickly came to the pair’s defense, but his conspiracy nut rival had already fled. Then, after Raw went off the air, the anonymous Raw GM announced that Truth will receive a WWE Title Match at Capitol Punishment if, and only if, he apologizes next week on Raw .

CM Punk def. Rey Mysterio (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Rey Mysterio scored the victory over CM Punk last Monday night in a tag team match, but this week, The Second City Savior found salvation. The leader of The New Nexus, accompanied by powerhouse Mason Ryan, relished exacting revenge on his longtime rival. He avoided the high altitude assault let loose by The Master of the 619 and dropped his nemesis with a jaw-rattling kick to the head

Eve & Kelly Kelly def. The Bella Twins (WATCH | PHOTOS)
When Eve & Kelly Kelly clashed with Divas Champion Brie Bella & her sister, Nikki, one dominant Diva was most assuredly on their minds. After her bizarre breakdown last week, Kharma was scheduled to address the WWE Universe later in the evening, which may have been why she didn’t show up during the match. As a result, Eve & Kelly enjoyed a successful match, in which the gorgeous duo toppled the sinister siblings.

Dolph Ziggler def. U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston in a Non-Title Match (WATCH | PHOTOS)
Dolph Ziggler has been doing his homework  – and it shows. The freshly-blond chameleon has been studying U.S. Champion Kofi Kingston’s matches for the past several weeks before the two faced off in a non-title bout. Thanks to his speed, agility and scouting, Ziggler managed to overcome The Dreadlock Dynamo.
